Alison Christensen

Alison Christensen

Alison completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at McMaster University with Honours in 2006.  She began her career treating clients in a variety of Niagara hospital settings, including those with new surgeries as well as chronic conditions.  Alison’s orthopedic focus started  in Niagara Falls and her dedication to ongoing education has honed her manual therapy skills and expanded her repertoire of Mulligan and Mackenzie techniques.   A move to the Brantford area in 2012 corresponded to an increase in the number of sports and automobile accident concussions seen in clinic.  Committed to serving her clients better, she sought out journal articles and courses to treat these clients with best practices, resulting in the development of Alison’s concussion and vestibular (dizziness) therapy skill set.  Her recent acupuncture training has allowed her to offer additional pain relief to clients.  Throughout her career, Alison has demonstrated her focus on the individual client by matching evidence-based treatment to the functional changes her clients want to make.
When Alison is not working she can be found volunteering weekly with youth and participating in recreational volleyball.  Every evening she makes time for quality conversation walking her two kiddos home from school before tag-teaming with her husband to shuttle everyone to their respective evening hobbies on the slopes, field, rink and in the studio.
